WIIS Australia is delighted to host a book launch and conversation event with Dr. Federica Caso from La Trobe University for her new book 'Settler Military Politics: Militarisation and the Aesthetics of War Commemoration'. 

Settler Military Politics inestigates the relationship between settler colonialism and militarisation. Highliting the Australian experience. This book develops concepts of settler military politics and its constituent relationships. Caso argues that militarisation is a rationality for governing the settler polity and consolidates the settler colonial project. Settler Military Politicsconducts an in-depth analysis of aesthetics of war commemoration in Australia and the role of the Australian War Memorial
